Lisa and Jenay's #WeddingWednesday

We don't even know where to start with these two, Lisa and Jenay are so kind and we are so proud to boast about them being Bombshell Brides! I guess the best way to start this #WeddingWednesday post is to begin with their video! You can find it here http://vimeo.com/106246240
When Lisa and Jenay decided to come shopping at Bombshell they came together. We had an absolute blast, they wanted to shop together, but wanted the dresses to remain a surprise. Lisa worked with consultant Julia and Jenay worked with consultant Julie. We took turns showing gowns to their friends and family who came to help them. In the end both brides chose the same designer with out knowing!
Now for the wedding details...
Lisa and Jenay were met with a few challenges planning their wedding. Jenay told us about a few of the vendors that really made their wedding day feel extra special. To start, the Brides were married at Crystal Gardens in Howell, "we were absolutely amazed with Crystal Gardens, which is why we went with them. They were hands down attentive to our needs and never once made us feel different" Jenay said.
The second vendor that they absolutely loved was their photographer Hannah, "I cannot say enough about Hannah" Jenay was so excited to tell us about her! Hannah said to them at one point "love is love", a sentiment we all feel here at Bombshell.
The brides also raved about Brighton Tux, "they were amazing and able to accommodate our girl who needed a tux" said Jenay, she even went on to explain that there was a snafu the day of the wedding and that the owner did everything they could to make it right!
When Lisa and Jenay sent us their wedding day story and pictures our staff started pouring over them, the wedding was absolutely beautiful and you both looked GORGEOUS. At the end of her email Jenay wrote " You are the first "vendor" we recommend and will forever be "our friends". We are so honored to earn your recommendation and we are beyond lucky to call you our friends.

Congratulations Lisa and Jenay!

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancĂ© thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
