When Liz came in shopping for her wedding gown she knew what she was looking for! She picked it out in record time! Liz looked amazing and she was simply glowing on their wedding day!
“We married underneath a canopy of trees in the backyard of our home in Bay County, Michigan” being that this was a second marrage for both of them they wanted to do something a different. “! I used to tell Ron that we need to get a swing underneath the trees to sit on when we are old and retired...it turned out to be a great place to start our new life together in that exact spot” Liz says.
The Bride and Groom transformed their backyard into a peaceful and special place with live music, flowers and candles.
The Groom is an avid fisher “the top of the altar was the actual board he uses to clean fish on from many of his salmon and walleye fishing tournaments and excursions. We painted it white, bought some fancy legs and we had an instant alter that has silly and special meaning to us.” Ron even made the cross that adorned the alter.
Music played a big part the couples day, Liz was escorted down the aisle by her daughter Claire to "Here I am" by Bryan Adams “the lyrics were perfect for this occasion and is a very special song to us” Liz says. The guest also enjoyed acoustic performances while being seated.
The celebration was beautiful and took place under a big white tent, “. I collected all kinds of vintage china to use for dinner and dessert plates, and all the crystal vases and crystal candle holders were from a year's worth of thrift shopping”.
The wedding had tons of other little details that were important to the couple “the cake was a combo wedding and groom's cake. He is an avid outdoorsman so the top two layers were outdoor themed and said "The Hunt is over, two less fish in the sea, today we said I DO under the trees". We also had yard games set up, a bonfire pit with s’mores and a 15 minute fireworks celebration at dark, a Chinese lantern sendoff where guests made wishes and released the lanterns into the night sky.”
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bischer!
