Happy Birthday, Bombshell!

A few days ago our owners posted a little blurb on social media for our birthday. I felt the need to re-post here and just show it off...Bombshell is so much more than a bridal salon, we are a body positive movement. Every bride, no matter what size or shape deserves to feel beautiful on their day.

This being said, Bombshell is celebrating our 4th birthday, we would love to have you join us!

To celebrate this momentous occasion we are hosting an open house, stop by on Friday, January 16th full of fun, laughter, and birthday treats!

Our staff has been hard at work putting together awesome surprises and fun for the day. This is a great opportunity to meet our staff, see our shop and get a feel for who we are and what we do. Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding. Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us. Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding. Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first. Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate. Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables. ...

Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me. I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony. Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance. It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box. One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most.
