12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

  1. BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later.

  1. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;)

  1. Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! Your officiant will take two copies and one is your souvenir. (Yes, you will sign three of them.) Make sure you don’t ask your cousin who has had 4 possibly 6 drinks that night already.

  1. A pretty hanger for your wedding dress. Since your dress will be photographed you want to make sure it will look as pretty as possible. Don’t let your photographer take a picture of your  gorgeous gown with a plastic hanger. Sounds silly right? You will thank me when you get those gorgeous photos back! Plus, how cool is it to see your new last name on the hanger holding the dress you are marrying your soulmate in?

  1. Make sure to bring a little cosmetic bag with you, pack lipstick, eyeliner, and foundation. Crying, kissing, and wiping can smear your makeup so  make sure to do some touch-ups throughout the day so you can keep looking flawless and gorgeous all day long!

  1. Bring a little sewing kit. You may not need it, however you will have the comfort of knowing you can fix a falling hem or a tear in a bridesmaid dress right away.

  1. Baby wipes are a lifesaver! They help get lipstick and dirt off of your dress! They also do double duty keeping little ones in your wedding clean!

  1. What to do with that rented tux? The last thing you want to the day after your wedding is return that tux! So make sure to ask your bestie and thank him/her with lunch the following week.

  1. Get a gift for your significant other! Show each other some love after all the planning you did together. Make sure they know they are appreciated, because it may have been a tough few weeks leading up to the wedding.

  1. Figure out where you two will spend the night and make sure you two have a place to be alone that night. Nobody wants to spend their wedding night with family. (Sorry family!)

  1. Make sure you pack a snack. You don’t want to be hangry on the best day ever right? RIGHT. NOW HAND ME MY GRANOLA BAR.

  1. Enjoy yourself! Remember this day goes by fast and that every minute counts. All the people you invited will be all together in the same place for the first and last time ever. Cherish every moment and stop to smell your bouquet. (See what I did there?) :p

  1. You have shared great things here which a bride can forgot before her wedding day. You know I forgot a hanger for my wedding dress, and my cosmetic bag too. But luckily the coordinator of Chicago event venues arranged both of things for me. I can’t forget that day. Wonderful services they provided us.
