#WeddingWednesday Kristen + Chris 6-20-15

Kristen and Chris were married on June 20th 2015 and here is what she had to said about their big day!

“Chris and I were married on June 20, 2015. It was definitely a day to remember! We are major Michigan Wolverine fans, so our colors were maize/yellow and blue. We were married at the First United Methodist Church in Saline, Michigan. Hands down, the best part of the day was saying our vows to each other, which (of course) included a portion about being devoted Michigan fans until the end!

This picture captures our emotions SO well after being pronounced husband and wife, it is so surreal…

Our awesome photographer, Jess (M & J Photography), was fantastic and took some amazingly gorgeous pictures.

We took pictures all around downtown Ann Arbor, which was so fun…

Our reception was at the Meeting Grand Ballroom in Plymouth and it was absolutely breathtaking…

Chris and I are HUGE ice cream fans, so we decided instead of cake, we would have an ice cream bar and it went over SO well…

Our wedding was absolutely amazing and something we will cherish forever. To all of you soon-to-be brides out there, I offer you a couple words of wisdom:
  1. If you have curves, do not mess with any other store BUT Bombshell Bridal. The entire team is amazing. I had the honor of working with Debra and I went from being insanely nervous and hesitant about the wedding dress shopping experience to wanting to do it over and over again. The selection of dresses they have is amazing and I was literally able to try on every dress I wanted to with no problems!

  1. This is your wedding and no one else’s. Do what you and your soon-to-be-hubby want to do! Suggestions and advice are always appreciated, but make sure you make yourself 100% happy.

  1. Before the doors open and you walk down the aisle to your man, take a deep breath, smile, and know that once you get to your man, it is just the two of you…the world becomes small and quiet…and the intense amount of love in the room is AMAZING.
  2. Enjoy the day. Relax and soak in the special moments with your NEW HUSBAND!

Thank you for helping make my wedding so special, Bombshell!”

Congratulations to Kristen and Chris! We here at Bombshell wish you all the happiness in the world! Your wedding was beautiful! <3

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. 6 Tips for Stress-Free Bridesmaid Shopping

I have heard so many brides tell me that bridesmaid dress shopping was the most stressful part of her planning, so let me help make your shopping a bit easier with these helpful tips! Gurl I gotchu. Budget: This is one of the most challenging parts for your maids, so make sure you are upfront about your expectations from the very start. Communicate with your girls, ask what they can afford and plan accordingly. If your girls are on a strict budget, START EARLY! Having your girls know the price of the dress a few months before they need to order, will make this purchase MUCH easier on them. Thas way, your girls can budget for the dress and not add on last minute stress! Happy bridesmaids = a happy bride :) Time: As I said above, time is very important, because bridesmaid dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive. Also, don’t forget your girls need to get their alterations as well. No, this is not a perfectly fitted garment, and yes, they will almost certainly need alterati
