Videography

Planning a wedding can be extremely expensive, costs you didn't even know existed show up out of nowhere! There are many places to spend your budget, but one cost we believe is most worth it, is hiring a videographer.

This is one expense that many brides will cut, however this service is worth the money. After the cake has been cut, the final dance has been performed and the guests have gone home you are left with only pictures and your wonderful memories.

Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to rewind time and enjoy your special day all over again? With videography services you can do just that!

Your wedding day is the most important day of your life, and you don't want to miss a single thing. Not hiring a videographer is one regret we hear over and over from our brides after their big day. Heard these before?

“The day went by so fast!”
“I wish I could hear my best friends toast again."
“I wish I knew how my husband was feeling before the ceremony. Was he as nervous as I was?”
"I wish I could see our first dance.”
“All that planning and I don’t even remember if my guests enjoyed themselves!”

Pictures will capture emotion and the essence of the day, but video can capture much more. Being able to watch your niece toss petals into the air as she makes her way down the aisle, see your brother escort your great-grandmother to her seat, and your groom tear up as you walk down the isle, these are all things that have much more impact on video than a picture ever could.

Still wondering if hiring a videographer is for you? Here are some pros of having a videographer:
¹      You can see things you didn't the day of
¹      You can see your grooms face as you walk down the isle
¹      You can relive every word of your vows
¹      You can see how much fun your reception was and how much people enjoyed themselves
¹      You can share it with family and friends who couldn't make it to your wedding, and show your future children

To save cost it may be tempting to put a family member in charge of capturing video, but we don't suggest it, because you want them to have fun too! You invited them to be a guest, so let them be!

Our favorite videographer is Tom at Complete Video Solutions. Tom has won several awards, and when you watch his work it is obvious why! He has 13 years of experience, so you will not be working with an amateur by any means. They are experienced, and really know how to capture your big day. Below is a sample to their work:

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancé thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
