#WeddingWednesday

Meet Stacie (Tocco) Costello, you may have seen her in some pictures from the bridal shows we do. Stacie models for us!

Kyran and Stacie had been dating a year when he proposed, "When the ball dropped at midnight Kyran dropped to one knee. I remember feeling SO excited, but slightly anxious almost immediately over finding a wedding dress" Stacie says.
Stacie shopped early, she came to Bombshell in February 2012 in search of her dress and even found her bridesmaid dresses, "I found a favorite, but because we weren't planning on getting married until August of 2013, we decided the best decision would be to wait to order anything in case any new styles came out. So when I went in December of 2012, to make a final decision, I tried on a handful of dresses, but the last dress that I tried on was THE ONE! With some minor alteration decisions, the dress looked amazing on me! My bridesmaids also got their dresses Bombshell Bridal Boutique in a dark navy blue" Stacie says.
The couple didn't have a theme, just a color scheme, "We didn't have a specific theme for our wedding, but budget was always on our mind. The one thing I didn't want to sacrifice was the food, so we booked the hall with the BEST food out there, that being Penna's of Sterling. Being a proud Sicilian, its always all about the food".

Stacie mentioned that they had a lot of fun incorporating little touches into their wedding, "We made everything we could for the wedding and reception. I incorporated as many of me and Kyran's interests as I could. The groom's cake was a Green Bay Packers cheesehead as he is an avid Packers fan. My earrings were also the Green Bay logo, which was a surprise for Kyran. Our cake topper was made of Legos, which is a big interest of mine. The box that our ring bearer carried our rings in was also a small Lego box. Another fun thing we did was for our friend Kyle. At the time of our wedding, he was serving his 3rd tour of duty in Afghanistan in the Army. So we got a picture of Kyle blown up and made a life-size cardboard cutout so it felt like he was there with us! Everyone really enjoyed getting pictures with him and he was really happy to see those pictures."

Congratulations Kyran and Stacie Costello

12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! Your officiant will take two copies and one is your souvenir. (Yes, you will sign three of them.) Make sure you don’t ask your cousin who has had 4 possibly 6 drinks that night already. A pretty hanger for your wedding dress. Since your dress will be photographed you want to make s...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancĂ© thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
