#WeddingWednesday

Congratulations to our #WeddingWednesday bride Anna and her husband! Their wedding was November of 2011 "I was the luckiest girl in the world... I married my once in a lifetime, on a 75 degree, sunshiny day. The day before the wedding it was about 40 degrees and rainy (expectedly so, considering it was mid November) and the day after our wedding it was about 35 degrees with sleet and frost" Anna said. She went on to mention that it was a "gift from grandparents and friends who couldn't be there, but still sent a gift from heaven." Anna and her husband chose a "rustic chic" theme that featured burlap, lace, birch, neutral colors with splashes of green. The bride talked about some of her unique touches including " handmade clutches for my bridesmaids instead of flowers, a set of handmade birch coasters as gifts for everyone in attendance and broach bouquet for me with pins and pieces from everyone I love, family I never had a chanc

This year our event is BIGGER! Julia (Chloe) and Julie have been working really hard on all the details and we are excited to share them with you! If you want to follow what's going on with the event follow The Hoo Haa FunWalk on Facebook!  The event will take place at the Roseville Jr. Sports park, RJS donated the park space for our event! Thanks to them we have the space for not only the walk but relay races, a DJ and dancing and so much more!  The Hoo Haa Fun Walk will be held Sunday, September 28th from 10-3. The walk begins with a Zumba warm up by Katie Pusz, then you are invited to walk though around the ball fields, the walk takes place on grass, and it is a little bit of a "bumpy" walk. Not up for the bumpy walk? We will have relay races s

#WeddingWednesday

This weeks #weddingwednesday features Bombshell bride Julia and her husband Jeremiah! "I planned my wedding while attending nursing school so I did not have much time to think about any of my decisions, including my dress. I showed up for all the fittings and kept hoping that it would just magically turn into the dress of my dreams" Julia said. At her final fitting she began to panic, she was no longer in love with her dress. Julia desperately started searching for a new dress "being a plus sized woman, that is not easy to do as I would need to purchase one off the rack" Julia said. She went on to say that she found Bombshell online and checked out our store. She worked our consultant Julie, "Julie helped me look through all of the dresses, and listened to me as I over thought everything. She helped me to find the dress of my dreams!! It fit perfectly and went with our wedding perfectly. All of my guests went on and on about how beautiful it was

Plus size Bridal Gowns

The girls at Bombshell are always searching and read up on what's happening in the bridal world. It's something we all enjoy doing and it helps us make your "Bombshell Experience" everything it can be!  Our consultant Kirah found an article on TheKnot's blog titled " Gorgeous Plus Size Wedding Gowns ".  While the dresses are pretty, it brings up the question, "Why do plus size brides have to wear plus size gowns?"  The dresses in the blog featured the typical "plus size look", a-line, flowy, tent-like coverings that are masked as wedding gowns.  Something that we strive to do at Bombshell is to feature designer, custom, stunning gowns in our store. Instead of carrying plus size lines we carry designer lines in plus sizes. We figure, why cover your body with shape shaming material and hideously unshapely gowns?  Your wedding gown should make you feel beautiful, look amazing, and most of all show off your gorgeous shape
