#WeddingWednesday

This weeks #weddingwednesday features Bombshell bride Julia and her husband Jeremiah!
"I planned my wedding while attending nursing school so I did not have much time to think about any of my decisions, including my dress. I showed up for all the fittings and kept hoping that it would just magically turn into the dress of my dreams" Julia said.
At her final fitting she began to panic, she was no longer in love with her dress. Julia desperately started searching for a new dress "being a plus sized woman, that is not easy to do as I would need to purchase one off the rack" Julia said.

She went on to say that she found Bombshell online and checked out our store. She worked our consultant Julie, "Julie helped me look through all of the dresses, and listened to me as I over thought everything. She helped me to find the dress of my dreams!! It fit perfectly and went with our wedding perfectly. All of my guests went on and on about how beautiful it was and I felt amazing in it!"

Julia and Jeremiah were married at Joe Louis Arena, their ceremony took place in a suite overlooking the ice. After the ceremony the Bride and her Groom were then whisked away to the penalty box to observe the Wings warm up for their game. Their reception was held in the suite where they exchanged their vows.

Congratulations Julia and Jeremiah!

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancĂ© thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
