Bombshell in Vegas

I believe in gratitude, and I believe that we should each take the time to thank the people around us who make our dreams possible.

My staff is amazing, and if you’ve been to our shop, you know it’s true. I can honestly say that I employ some of the kindest, most dedicated ladies in this business. They work hard for each and every bride that steps through our doors, and I am grateful for that. I’m grateful that they not only see my vision, but believe in it wholeheartedly. I’m grateful that they’re just as excited to see this business grow as I am.

We had a truly great year. We moved into our new, beautiful location, became friends with a few hundred new brides, and had a few growing pains along the way. We celebrated our success with a staff trip to Las Vegas in early December, where we had an absolute blast! It was so much fun getting to be together outside of work, and it made our team bond even stronger. I can’t think of a better way to say thank you than a week of fun all together!

As we prepare to meet a new group of brides in 2015, I know that Bombshell wouldn’t be where it is today without these amazing ladies. They took my crazy idea that brides of every size deserve a fantastic experience, and turned it into what we have today. Thanks girls, you ROCK!

XOXO Amanda

We boarded the plane rocking our "Bows Before Bros" shirts, we were all so excited to be heading to Vegas! We had so much fun and did so many things, below are some of the best bits from our trip!
We arrived at our hotel, New York, New York, dropped off our baggage (how impressive was that?!) and hit the strip for a little fun!

Our hotel was wonderful, we were up on the 28th floor and had a great view of both the strip and the airport. Our first evening there Julia took some pictures, we also went to see Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo.
The next day we set off for some amazing shopping, we hit Caesars, The Venetian, and outlet mall. We even manged to visit the California state line!
Our last two days were full of celebrations and fun! We decided since we were in Vegas that there needed to be a bachlorette party for Amy! We went to the Blowout Dollhouse to get out hair and make up "did". We then hit Minus5 the ice bar and general shenanigans and tomfoolery took over.

Pam's birthday way the last day we were in there. It was so fun to be with her to celebrate! We had brunch at the beautiful Winn hotel. We spent the day shopping and taking a gondola ride. As a treat we ate dinner at Batista's hole in wall, an amazing Italian restaurant. Following that we celebrated with drinks at Sugar!
Our consultant Kirah also had a dream come true. She met 3 members of her favorite band, Sleeping with Sirens. She knew they had been in Vegas for a show and had hoped but never thought to see them. She saw two of them in our hotel on Tuesday night and ran into the other member at the customs line when we were flying home.
The Bombshell staff is so thankful for our amazing owners for this opportunity. Not only did we have a blast and get to goof around for a week but we all became so much closer as a staff!

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancé thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
