Bombshell in Vegas

I believe in gratitude, and I believe that we should each take the time to thank the people around us who make our dreams possible.

My staff is amazing, and if you’ve been to our shop, you know it’s true. I can honestly say that I employ some of the kindest, most dedicated ladies in this business. They work hard for each and every bride that steps through our doors, and I am grateful for that. I’m grateful that they not only see my vision, but believe in it wholeheartedly. I’m grateful that they’re just as excited to see this business grow as I am.

We had a truly great year. We moved into our new, beautiful location, became friends with a few hundred new brides, and had a few growing pains along the way. We celebrated our success with a staff trip to Las Vegas in early December, where we had an absolute blast! It was so much fun getting to be together outside of work, and it made our team bond even stronger. I can’t think of a better way to say thank you than a week of fun all together!

As we prepare to meet a new group of brides in 2015, I know that Bombshell wouldn’t be where it is today without these amazing ladies. They took my crazy idea that brides of every size deserve a fantastic experience, and turned it into what we have today. Thanks girls, you ROCK!

XOXO Amanda

We boarded the plane rocking our "Bows Before Bros" shirts, we were all so excited to be heading to Vegas! We had so much fun and did so many things, below are some of the best bits from our trip!
We arrived at our hotel, New York, New York, dropped off our baggage (how impressive was that?!) and hit the strip for a little fun!

Our hotel was wonderful, we were up on the 28th floor and had a great view of both the strip and the airport. Our first evening there Julia took some pictures, we also went to see Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo.
The next day we set off for some amazing shopping, we hit Caesars, The Venetian, and outlet mall. We even manged to visit the California state line!
Our last two days were full of celebrations and fun! We decided since we were in Vegas that there needed to be a bachlorette party for Amy! We went to the Blowout Dollhouse to get out hair and make up "did". We then hit Minus5 the ice bar and general shenanigans and tomfoolery took over.

Pam's birthday way the last day we were in there. It was so fun to be with her to celebrate! We had brunch at the beautiful Winn hotel. We spent the day shopping and taking a gondola ride. As a treat we ate dinner at Batista's hole in wall, an amazing Italian restaurant. Following that we celebrated with drinks at Sugar!
Our consultant Kirah also had a dream come true. She met 3 members of her favorite band, Sleeping with Sirens. She knew they had been in Vegas for a show and had hoped but never thought to see them. She saw two of them in our hotel on Tuesday night and ran into the other member at the customs line when we were flying home.
The Bombshell staff is so thankful for our amazing owners for this opportunity. Not only did we have a blast and get to goof around for a week but we all became so much closer as a staff!

12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! 6 Tips for Stress-Free Bridesmaid Shopping

I have heard so many brides tell me that bridesmaid dress shopping was the most stressful part of her planning, so let me help make your shopping a bit easier with these helpful tips! Gurl I gotchu. Budget: This is one of the most challenging parts for your maids, so make sure you are upfront about your expectations from the very start. Communicate with your girls, ask what they can afford and plan accordingly. If your girls are on a strict budget, START EARLY! Having your girls know the price of the dress a few months before they need to order, will make this purchase MUCH easier on them. Thas way, your girls can budget for the dress and not add on last minute stress! Happy bridesmaids = a happy bride :) Time: As I said above, time is very important, because bridesmaid dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive. Also, don’t forget your girls need to get their alterations as well. No, this is not a perfectly fitted garment, and yes, they will almost certainly need alterati
