How Do I Know It's My Dress?

How Do I Know It’s My Dress? Most people who know me know that it took me a very, very, very, very, VERY long time to find my dress for my wedding. You think that owning a bridal shop would be beneficial, and I would know the minute I got engaged what dress I was going to wear. LIES. I was extremely panicked after I got engaged, and I had no idea what dress I was going to wear. I’ve tried on several, and I do mean SEVERAL, wedding dresses, be it for fun or for fashion shows, I’ve tried ‘em all. Before I was engaged, I would try on every new dress we received and facetiously say “This is my dress!”. My mom likes to tell stories about that, ask her! (Love you, mom!) Below is a collage with dresses that I said were “my” dress; LOL So how does a girl who owns a bridal shop, who photographs weddings, and is around wedding dresses almost 24/7 find THE dress? Great question! To be honest I had no idea what the hell I was looking for. At first I wanted a mermaid, th

#WeddingWednesday Kelley 10-4-14

Our bride Kelley got married on October 4th 2014! Look at this dress on her, SWOON! Here’s what she had to say about her big day! “Our wedding ceremony took place at St. Marys Church in St. Clair, MI. It was a beautiful ceremony with friends and family. Our reception was at Fore Lakes Golf Course (now Solitude lakes) in Kimball, MI. It turned out to be a beautiful fall day. Thank goodness, because in the morning it started to hail when we were getting our hair done lol. At the reception we got a lot of outdoor pictures with our wedding party. The girls loved their dresses and still tell me how many people really liked the bridesmaid dresses, because they could wear them again. I thought they all looked wonderful in their own little styles they picked out and most of that has to do with all the help from you and your staff. Even for my 9 year old niece the bridesmaid dress looked beautiful. She really liked her dress and looked like a beautiful young lady.

Amy's Adventure in Jamaica!

Hi Guys! I (Amy) just got back from my honeymoon! I couldn’t wait to share with you all about my time in Jamaica! I thought it would be fun to show some pictures, and talk about what I learned there. Since I know a lot of our brides either have their wedding there or go there for a honeymoon! Dan and I stayed at a Sandals resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica called Sandals Ochi. First off look at this picture, isn’t it gorgeous here?! Our resort was all inclusive, which means food AND alcohol is INCLUDED. First honeymoon tip from me; go to an all inclusive resort, trust me. The food was awesome! I had steak every night and I’m not sorry about it. :p Breakfast was always a buffet, and they had some Jamaican dishes, regular breakfast food, and a whole table of bread! Lunch usually was pizza, jerk chicken, hamburgers, and some fish. They also had ice cream, cookies and popcorn that you could snack on. For dinner you could order an appetizer, entree and dessert. You could even order
