We couldn't wait to show you this #weddingwednesday blog! Xondra looks absolutely gorgeous, and you can see the evidence below! She choose a white tulle ballgown with a ruched bodice that has just the right touch of bling! She was such a pleasure each and every time she came in our shop we just love her! We are loving the red and black detail, such a classy color combo! Here’s what she had to say about her big day! Warning: The picture of her husband’s reaction might make you tear up.

“Coming to bombshell I was so excited to be able to try on dresses in my size even bigger, especially with a few bad experiences, I cried like a baby when I pick the one for me.

A week before the wedding was crunch time, we didn't know if we were going to make it but by the grace of God we did. The day of I was so excited to marry my best friend, I felt very calm and serene. I got to relax with my girl and put my fears to rest.

We were married at Laurel Manor, July 11, 2015, about 100 people so it was intimate. Our colors were Red, Black, and white with a little bling ;). Our reception space was stunning and accomplished everything we hoped for.

Putting on my dress I felt glamorous, special and confident. I warned my husband he was going cry but he didn't believe me, watching me walk down the aisle he said I took his breath away.

He was in awe. I received so many compliments I couldn't believe it, I felt so beautiful that day, and I appreciate everyone who helped me through the whole process. To be a plus size bride, you feel pressure and you can be your own worse enemy, but I was proud to marry my husband as a Beautiful Bombshell Bride.”

  1. Oh my goodness! This wedding looks just adorable and I am totally in love with all these photos. One of my best friends also tied the knot recently and she had an indoor fairy themed party at one of the most suitable LA venues.

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

#WeddingWednesday Taara + Malcolm 9-5-15

Wait until you see how beautiful Taara is! Their wedding was BEAUTIFUL! See what she had to say about her big day: "Our ceremony took place at Rock of  Ages Christian Ministries.   Our ceremony was short and sweet and only lasted about 20 minutes. My dad walked me down the aisle as my only brother sang to me.  I had my 2 favorite guys share this special moment with me and that meant everything to me. My husband and I exchanged vows and demonstrated us becoming one by taking part in a wine communion ceremony.  Once that was all said and done, we were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hatcher. My fiancé thought that I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He absolutely loved my dress. I felt like a princess in my wedding dress. I never in a million years though that I could feel that way ! Being plus size can put a lot of doubt in your mind when it comes to finding that perfect dress for on...

#WeddingWednesday Cori + Steven 10-24-15

Our wedding theme was paper airplanes because of a short film my husband and I fell in love with. We also were never huge fans of flowers being the focal point, so using paper was fun and unique to us. It also made wedding planning easier not having to handle real flowers so we could get things done months in advance.  It was in the fall so we did use mini pumpkins for escort cards, and we drilled wholes in big pumpkins and put changing LED lights in them. We had paper airplanes on our cake, my necklace, and even on our bouquets and boutonnieres! Also instead of a book for people to sign, we made paper airplanes to later put in a big shadow box.  One of the easiest parts of our 15 month wedding planning adventure was finding my dress! I had gone to a previous shop but it was more so to have a better idea as to what I actually liked and flattered me the most. So once I got to Bombshell finding my dress was amazingly simple and quick! I think my dress endin...
