Things we want our brides to know.

We’re starting a new blog series called, “What We Wish Our Brides Knew” and it will post each Monday. This series will be written by owner Amanda and will touch on a variety of subjects that we want our brides to know, or at least think about during their buying experience. It may not always be pretty, but it will always be honest. Enjoy!

Your money matters here

What I want all of our brides to know, is that your purchase with us makes a difference. Your money MATTERS here.
In fact, it means the world to us, and when we thank you for your business, we sincerely mean it. My shop employs 7 amazing women. Each one of them has a family that depends on their paycheck, just like all of you. My business is not publicly traded, and I as the owner, don’t have a mansion on the water. In fact, I live in a small condo and pay a car payment every month. We’re just regular people.
Amy is slowly outfitting the house she and her fiance just bought.

Julia and her husband are saving for the foster child they hope to adopt.

Newlywed, Kirah, is saving for a house and the Kia Soul she’s always wanted.

Julie has a teenage son involved in many different sports, and many of you know how expensive that can be…

My point is that YOU, our amazing, beautiful, and supportive brides are to thank for all of this. You pay the building rent, you have allowed us to grow into a larger location, and you are the life and energy that runs through this business.
We know that you have many choices on where to purchase your gown, and the fact that you choose us is appreciated. When you refer friends and family to us, as many of you do, it’s equally appreciated. Actually, your referrals are the best compliment we could ever receive. It’s better than any Yelp! review, or amount of advertising I can do.
It’s a privilege to have you as our customer, and we are truly honored to be a part of your special day. Thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, thanks.
Love,
Amanda and the rest of #TeamBombshell

12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! Your officiant will take two copies and one is your souvenir. (Yes, you will sign three of them.) Make sure you don’t ask your cousin who has had 4 possibly 6 drinks that night already. 6 Tips for Stress-Free Bridesmaid Shopping

I have heard so many brides tell me that bridesmaid dress shopping was the most stressful part of her planning, so let me help make your shopping a bit easier with these helpful tips! Gurl I gotchu. Budget: This is one of the most challenging parts for your maids, so make sure you are upfront about your expectations from the very start. Communicate with your girls, ask what they can afford and plan accordingly. If your girls are on a strict budget, START EARLY! Having your girls know the price of the dress a few months before they need to order, will make this purchase MUCH easier on them. Thas way, your girls can budget for the dress and not add on last minute stress! Happy bridesmaids = a happy bride :) Time: As I said above, time is very important, because bridesmaid dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive. Also, don’t forget your girls need to get their alterations as well. No, this is not a perfectly fitted garment, and yes, they will almost certainly need alterati
