Things we want our brides to know.

We’re starting a new blog series called, “What We Wish Our Brides Knew” and it will post each Monday. This series will be written by owner Amanda and will touch on a variety of subjects that we want our brides to know, or at least think about during their buying experience. It may not always be pretty, but it will always be honest. Enjoy!

“What we wish our brides knew”
Your money matters here

What I want all of our brides to know, is that your purchase with us makes a difference. Your money MATTERS here.
In fact, it means the world to us, and when we thank you for your business, we sincerely mean it. My shop employs 7 amazing women. Each one of them has a family that depends on their paycheck, just like all of you. My business is not publicly traded, and I as the owner, don’t have a mansion on the water. In fact, I live in a small condo and pay a car payment every month. We’re just regular people.
Amy is slowly outfitting the house she and her fiance just bought.

Julia and her husband are saving for the foster child they hope to adopt.

Newlywed, Kirah, is saving for a house and the Kia Soul she’s always wanted.

Julie has a teenage son involved in many different sports, and many of you know how expensive that can be…

My point is that YOU, our amazing, beautiful, and supportive brides are to thank for all of this. You pay the building rent, you have allowed us to grow into a larger location, and you are the life and energy that runs through this business.
We know that you have many choices on where to purchase your gown, and the fact that you choose us is appreciated. When you refer friends and family to us, as many of you do, it’s equally appreciated. Actually, your referrals are the best compliment we could ever receive. It’s better than any Yelp! review, or amount of advertising I can do.
It’s a privilege to have you as our customer, and we are truly honored to be a part of your special day. Thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, thanks.
Love,
Amanda and the rest of #TeamBombshell

Bridal Shows

Bridal shows are the best way for you, the busy bride to plan your wedding with ease! Shows are an exciting, fun, festive way to meet different necessary vendors. These vendors are there for you, they are there to talk with you, give you information and help you find what services fit your wedding.  Shows can also be a bit overwhelming, as a salon we see this happen a lot! Make sure to plan ahead and are ready for day, here are some tips from us.  Bring important people, groom included. Don't invite your entire bridal party, save that for other activities, this is a chance for you to really figure out what you need and want to have at your wedding.  Make a list of the products and service you need most, visit them first.  Ask for a map of the show, you can see where specific vendors are placed and it will help you navigate.  Print out your name, wedding date, and contact info on labels, this saves a lot of time for entries at vendor tables.  ...

Emily's #WeddingWednesday

Emily came to Bombshell on a recommendation from a friend "I was having a horrible time finding a dress in my size. I called the shop and asked about my size, when she said "We have that size", I almost cried" she said. The bride and new mom came to the shop she had little less than a month until her wedding. Emily was so worried about finding a gown for her special day. " We picked out 4 dresses an started trying them on, I wasn't feeling like any of them was "The one". My consultant  wasn't rushful or rude about me not liking them. She then went to the back and brought out a dress in blue that could be ordered in white, I LOVED IT!!!!" The gown Emily chose was ready for her wedding and she looked stunning! " The day of my wedding I felt like a million dollars, everyone loved my dress. When I got to my husband at the alter he was in awe, mouth open and all. After the wedding he told me that I took his breath away, that he fell...

12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! Your officiant will take two copies and one is your souvenir. (Yes, you will sign three of them.) Make sure you don’t ask your cousin who has had 4 possibly 6 drinks that night already. A pretty hanger for your wedding dress. Since your dress will be photographed you want to make s...
