Gwen's #WeddingWednesday

Happy #WeddingWednesday and congratulations to this weeks couple, Gwen and her husband Shaun who were married this past July.
Gwen & Shaun have a pretty awesome story, they shared in with their wedding program. Their story starts with "the day Gwen & Shaun met, they didn't know the fate that had already been decided for them."

"Just as Gwen was about to give up on online dating, Shaun dropped her a message. After several messages and texts, over the next week, they met in person on February 18, 2012 at Biggby coffee in Lansing. The conversation flowed like two friends catching up after years apart."
Shaun asked Gwen to be his wife July 2013, and the began planning quickly. Gwen had a short window of dates to choose from "without any prior knowledge to the events that happened on this day, she chose July 26. It was the one in the middle of the three weekends available." Again fate was by their side, "on this very day in 2007, Shaun was injured in Iraq. As sad of a situation as it was, it is because of that very day that these two would meet. If it was not for Shaun's injuries, he would not have been in Michigan, he would not have sent that message, and today would not be happening" as it said on their wedding program.
"Fate brought these two together & today turns what used to be a sad anniversary for Shaun into a happy joyous day to celebrate for the rest of their lives."
The couple was married at the Sun Theater in Grand Ledge and they had a fun 50's/ Rockabilly theme! "Our wedding party included 17 people (some of the absolute best people we know) who all danced down the aisle and looked FABULOUS doing so" Gwen says.

The wedding was so fun, " we were surrounded by our family & friends who tossed popcorn as we walked back down the aisle!"

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Smith
We are so happy for you!

Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! 6 Tips for Stress-Free Bridesmaid Shopping

Budget: This is one of the most challenging parts for your maids, so make sure you are upfront about your expectations from the very start. Communicate with your girls, ask what they can afford and plan accordingly. If your girls are on a strict budget, START EARLY! Having your girls know the price of the dress a few months before they need to order, will make this purchase MUCH easier on them. Thas way, your girls can budget for the dress and not add on last minute stress! Happy bridesmaids = a happy bride :) Time: As I said above, time is very important, because bridesmaid dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive. Also, don’t forget your girls need to get their alterations as well. No, this is not a perfectly fitted garment, and yes, they will almost certainly need alterati
