#WeddingWednesday Amanda + Andrew 9-19-2015

Amanda and Andrew's wedding is too ADORABLE for words! You can see the love between them! <3 *Sigh* Here is what she had to say about her big day:

"The morning of my wedding, it was raining. I was so nervous that it was going to continue because our ceremony was outside on the back lawn of the Grosse Pointe War Memorial right on the water. When the coordinator came in she asked if we still planned on getting married outside and I still said yes. We got so lucky because it turned out to be a beautiful day, and through the window I could see butterflies flying around.

I was escorted down the aisle by my mom, I was trying so hard the whole time not to cry only because I was so happy to walk down the aisle to my best friend and finally put the ring that I had bought him 3 years earlier on his finger.

My husband told me that my dress was not what he was expecting, he thought that I was going to have a big poofy dress, but he told me that he loved my dress because it fit me in all the right places and showed off my curves really well. The dress that I chose when I was walking through was really not something that I thought I would like, I liked the beading when I saw it on the dress so decided to give it a try. As soon as the dress was laced I knew it was the one because it made me feel so perfect. My husband liked it for the same reasons I did, it fit me in all the right places.

My reception took place at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial after the ceremony and picture taking. It was an awesome venue, everyone was telling us the whole night how delicious the food was.

Our décor was a nautical rustic feel with a few Disney touches.

At our reception our first dance song was Everlasting Light, by the Black Keys.

The one song that had to be played during the night was Dynamite by Taio Cruz, my best friend and Maid of Honor had made up a dance to the song and we kept everyone entertained during our dance.

The one thing that happened during our reception was that my husband stepped on the bottom of my dress and tore the bustle right out! Our DJ came to the rescue with his sewing kit which had safety pins in it and saved the day.

My best friend and I are very close, asking my photographer to take this photo was uncomfortable but she was more than happy to take it and even got a kick out of the idea."

That photo is adorable and hilarious! LOVE IT! We here at Bombshell wish you both nothing but the best! Congratulations to you two love birds! We wish you many years of happiness! <3

  1. My peonies were tiny infants when the Flower Delivery Los Angeles team handed them over to my arms. They just came from a long trip from France in the same day. Then after traveling in NY public transportation, the high temperature forced all flowers to open. The matured blossoms still moved my heart.

Budget: This is one of the most challenging parts for your maids, so make sure you are upfront about your expectations from the very start. Communicate with your girls, ask what they can afford and plan accordingly. If your girls are on a strict budget, START EARLY! Having your girls know the price of the dress a few months before they need to order, will make this purchase MUCH easier on them. Thas way, your girls can budget for the dress and not add on last minute stress! Happy bridesmaids = a happy bride :) Time: As I said above, time is very important, because bridesmaid dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive.
