#WeddingWednesday Morgan & Tim 7-13-15

Our bride Morgan and her fiance Tim got married on July 13th 2015. Before we get to the deets about her wedding check how GORGEOUS she looked in her wedding dress:

Here is what she had to say about her big day:

“Thank you!!! I felt like a million bucks! Tim and I got married on Monday July 13th it was our 10 year anniversary. The number 13 plays a big part in our life. I was born May 13th, two of our fur babies were born on the 13th. We met on a 13th and officially started dating on the 13th so changing our day to a more "normal" day wasn't in the cards. My grandma embroidered my wedding date on the slip of my dress while I was getting ready. It was soooo special to share that moment with her.

We had close to 100 guests who traveled from California, Idaho, Arizona, Canada, florida, and Michigan. We were married at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country club in Pawleys Island South Carolina. It rained all day but that didn't matter one bit to us. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends. The ceremony was moved inside but that ultimately made it more intimate.

The evening was fabulous from the start to the finish!!! Our DJ Joe Durivage of Myrtle Beach DJ's kept our guests full of energy and truly made the night flow with ease. I can't stress enough to other brides how important a good DJ is.

A few weeks after our wedding we did a "fun" photo shoot - any excuse to get back in my dress!!!  We went to a neighboring golf course and involved our fur babies - Norton and Gracie. I feel so blessed that we were able to have this moment as a couple and with our pups.”

12 Things Brides Forget Before Their Wedding Day

BRING EXTRA SHOES! Those gorgeous heels you bought? Yeah, by the time the reception rolls around your feet will be killing you! Bring an extra pair of flats so you can keep dancing and socializing the night away. You’ll thank me later. Decide what to do with the gifts. This is often forgotten during the wedding planning process, but still pretty important thing to remember! Make sure you assign someone to pack up the gifts and tell them where to take them. Especially if you are leaving on your honeymoon that night! You don’t want to decide what to do with them after you have had a few glasses of champagne. ;) Assign someone responsible to take care of the marriage license! Your officiant will take two copies and one is your souvenir. (Yes, you will sign three of them.) Make sure you don’t ask your cousin who has had 4 possibly 6 drinks that night already. A pretty hanger for your wedding dress. Since your dress will be photographed you want to make s...

Emily's #WeddingWednesday

Emily came to Bombshell on a recommendation from a friend "I was having a horrible time finding a dress in my size. I called the shop and asked about my size, when she said "We have that size", I almost cried" she said. The bride and new mom came to the shop she had little less than a month until her wedding. Emily was so worried about finding a gown for her special day. " We picked out 4 dresses an started trying them on, I wasn't feeling like any of them was "The one". My consultant  wasn't rushful or rude about me not liking them. She then went to the back and brought out a dress in blue that could be ordered in white, I LOVED IT!!!!" The gown Emily chose was ready for her wedding and she looked stunning! " The day of my wedding I felt like a million dollars, everyone loved my dress. When I got to my husband at the alter he was in awe, mouth open and all. After the wedding he told me that I took his breath away, that he fell...

Amanda's advice, Attitude is EVERYTHING!!

I often get asked, what my best advice is for brides shopping for their gowns, and my answer is always the same: Keep an open mind. This is so important, and key to having a successful visit. Buying a wedding gown can be very exciting. It can also be terrifying. It can make you feel your most beautiful, and it can also bring up all sorts of body image issues. While every bride and every experience is different, the one thing I can tell you with complete confidence, is that the brides who keep an open mind have the best experiences. We recently had a bridal appointment start like this: Consultant: “Are you ready to get started?!? We’re going to have some fun today!!” Bride: “I doubt it.” Throughout the appointment, this bride refused to try on gowns that her consultant suggested, and found fault with everything, even the gowns she liked best. It probably won’t surprise you to know that this appointment didn’t end well. For whatever reason, this particular bride was not open to the possi...
